• Agriculture is open to environment and depends heavily on it.
  • Effect on crops: Maize crop in southern Africa may decrease by 30% of its main crop by 2030, in South Asia rice, millet and maize may decrease by 10%.
  • Effects in different climatic zones: In tropical and sub-tropical regions, crop yield may decrease due to low water availability, and changed insect pest incidence. For example, average crop yield is expected to drop by 50% in Pakistan due to water scarcity. In temperate Europe, maize production in Europe is expected to grow up to 25%. In polar zone, more land availability for agriculture.
  • Behaviour of organisms: Organisms may become more or less competitive, and Breeders have to develop more competitive organisms, such as drought resistant, flood resistant or salt resistant varieties of crops etc.
  • Effect on marine life: Marine life may be affected due to water contamination.
